Ruth Maron

Ruth Maron is a senior communications professional with a broad industry background ranging from airlines to utilities. She brings to each assignment the skills of a writer and journalist; the experience of a public relations professional; and the perspective of an organization development consultant.

Ruth began her career in the New York office of Burson-Marsteller, a leading global public relations firm. She was a member of the crisis communications team, developing training seminars for executives and line managers.  An interactive seminar for Gulf Oil won the Silver Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America.  Ruth’s tenure with the agency included a year-long assignment in the Brussels office, working on international accounts.

Ruth later served as Director of Public Relations for Inter-Continental Hotels Corp., then a subsidiary of Pan Am.  She was responsible for corporate and marketing public relations for the group that included 100 hotels in 48 countries.

In 2002, Ruth joined the corporate communications staff at PSEG, a New Jersey-based utility. She was a member of the merger communications team during a protracted and controversial merger with Exelon.  During this two-year transition, she provided communications support for senior leaders and co-edited a strategic bi-monthly newsletter to 30,000 employees at both companies.

A native New Yorker, Ruth moved to Portsmouth, NH in 2006. She focuses on leadership communications for clients in the corporate and non-profit sectors. As a freelance writer for Seacoast Media Group, she was awarded first place for Arts & Lifestyle features by the Maine Press Association. Ruth began her affiliation with Jackson Jackson & Wagner in 2011.

Ruth is a graduate of Vassar College, where she majored in English. She holds a Masters’ degree in Journalism from Boston University and an advanced certificate degree in Organization Development from The New School in New York.
