After\r\nteaching in Germany and Kenya, she served as the adult education manager at\r\nMoor Park College (Farnham, UK) for 12 years. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In 1965, Isobel joined\r\nthe behavioral public relations and management consulting firm of Jackson\r\nJackson and Wagner in NH, where she provided invaluable counsel to clients in a\r\nwide variety of industries for over 5 decades. &nbsp;She was a trailblazer, advocating\r\nfor public relations practitioners to have a place at the decisionmaking table\r\nand influencing the PR field with their innovative strategies and\r\nbehavior-change theories.&nbsp; She was married to Patrick Jackson, a past PRSA\r\npresident and PR leader in the public relations field.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>An accredited member of\r\nthe Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Isobel served as National\r\nSecretary.&nbsp; She was inducted into the College of Fellows in 1991.&nbsp;\r\nShe served as PRSA\u2019s representative on the Council for Journalism and Mass\r\nCommunications as well as on two PRSA education commissions. Isobel was best\r\nknown for her work with independent schools and environmental concerns. Her\r\nwork with the coalition SPACE (Statewide Program of Action to Conserve our\r\nEnvironment) led to a NH constitutional amendment change in 1968 and passage of\r\nthe current use law to preserve open space in NH \u2013 a law that still stands\r\ntoday. She was the first woman president of the NH Timberland Owners Association\r\nand served on both the boards of Lamprey River Watershed Association and UNH\r\nCooperative Extension Rockingham County Advisory Council. Passionate about land\r\nconservation, she worked closely with the Southeast Land Trust on their efforts\r\nto conserve open space. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"position:absolute;visibility: collapse;\"><br \/>\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/bodypiercingsavedmylife.com\/\">http:\/\/bodypiercingsavedmylife.com\/<\/a> <br \/>\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Since 1963, Isobel\r\nlived on Tributary Farm, a 1745 house in West Epping, NH with 700 blueberry\r\nbushes and 160 acres of forest land.&nbsp; She loved spending time outdoors and\r\nin her garden; and every July, she would host a blueberry breakfast for members\r\nof her JJ&amp;W family. Raised in the Episcopalian church, she became a\r\nlong-time member of the West Epping Quaker Meeting.&nbsp; Loved\r\nand respected by countless family members, friends, professional colleagues and\r\nclients, Isobel will be missed by us all.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><br>\r\nA Celebration of Life will be held in the spring and announced when set.
